This course offers an in-depth study of flamenco dance structure through Bulerías and Soleá por Bulerías, two essential and closely related styles.

Focus areas include:
• Understanding traditional frameworks, regional styles, and personal interpretation
• Recognizing structural sections, phrasing, and musical cues
• Developing rhythmic clarity, timing, and confidence
• Learning how to dance and improvise within each style
• Strengthening musical awareness and stylistic versatility

Flamenco Dance Technique

This workshop is dedicated to building a strong, intelligent flamenco technique that supports expression, musicality, and longevity in the dance.

Focus areas include:
• Developing mind–muscle connection and body awareness
• Understanding the source and efficiency of movement
• Work on form, strength, balance, and coordination
• Technique for turns, footwork, arms, hands, and torso
• Exploring traditional flamenco lines alongside modern approaches

Flamenco Dance Choreography Repertory

(Includes Performance Opportunity)

This repertory course guides dancers through the creation and refinement of a new flamenco choreographic work within traditional structure.

Focus areas include:
• Learning a complete choreographic work rooted in flamenco tradition
• Studying dance and music structure through repertory
• Developing composition, precision, musicality, and expression
• Refining style, phrasing, transitions, and stage presence
• Understanding how choreography is built and shaped
• Preparing dancers for performance

Participation in this course leads to a culminating performance opportunity at the end of the year.
